Recognition

The British Interior Design Association (UK)

Rhodec International Diploma Course students are eligible to apply for Student Membership of the BIDA and, on successful completion of the Diploma Course, to apply for Junior Associate membership. After obtaining suitable experience, they may then apply for full Associate membership.

The American Society of Interior Designers (USA)

The ASID will accept Rhodec Diploma students into Student Membership via Rhodec's own Student Chapter.

Rhodec Diploma students are eligible to join the ASID as Student Members, and to advance to Allied Membership on graduation.

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is the oldest and largest professional organization for interior designers with the largest residential and commercial membership. With more than 30,000 members, ASID establishes a common identity for professionals and businesses in the field of interior design.

Rhodec International meets the minimum qualification to house an ASID student chapter. ASID is not an accrediting body and makes no comparative evaluations or endorsements of interior design programs beyond the minimum standards for student chapter membership set out by the ASID Board of Directors.

The National Council for Interior Design Qualification (USA)

Rhodec meets NCIDQ's education requirement of 60 semester credits, supported by an official transcript. Applicants are also required to complete a specified number of hours of professional experience prior to exam application

The International Interior Design Association (USA)

Rhodec students are eligible to join the IIDA as Student Members, qualifying for entry to trade shows and enjoying discounts on products. Student Members become Associate Members when they graduate and must take the NCIDQ or equivalent exam to become full professional members of the IIDA.

International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI)

A leading worldwide authority in the professional interior design industry is the IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers), which is an international, non-governmental organization (NGO) for the interiors profession founded in 1963. The IFI has defined the standards to which all educational programmes should conform, and our interior design curriculum has been developed in line with those recommendations.

Acceptance in Canada

Registration or licensing of interior designers varies in Canada. Please contact the interior design/architectural board in your own province for education and experience requirements.

The Faculty of Building (UK)

On the recommendation of the Principal, suitable holders of the Rhodec International Diploma with Distinction will be eligible for Membership of the Faculty of Building (MFB), at the discretion of the Council and Officers of the Faculty.

The Institute of Professional Designers (UK)

The Rhodec International Diploma Course is recognized by the IPD, who will accept into Associateship (AIPD) all who have been awarded the Rhodec International Diploma.

The Society of Architectural Illustrators (UK)

The Society welcome applications from Rhodec Diploma holders who can provide examples of their work demonstrating their abilities. Successful applicants will be accepted into the Society at grades from Associate to Fellow dependent upon their age and ability.

The Association of Building Engineers (UK)

On the recommendation of the Principal, a holder of the Diploma with Distinction may forward the Final Test to the Board of Education, and if approved this will lead to Associate Membership.
